    • Edward Anthony is a NASM certified performance enhancement specialist. He is also certified in TRX, Kettlebell, Medicine Ball, and prehab/rehab just to name a few. He has managed and directed numerous personal training facilities in New York City and has been in the industry for over a decade.

      Edward started as a personal trainer and within 4 years worked his way up to becoming the director of one of the most successful gym chains in New York City holding multiple industry records.     • I have structured the Edward Anthony Diet using years of trial and error as both a trainer and an athlete. I do not have a degree in nutrition or diet and do not claim to.     Power 1/2 Hour (Half Hour Hell):
    This class is designed so you can take it on your lunch break!! This class is very similar to our regular “Strength and Conditioning” class, but is pushed at a faster pace and has a 10 minute core blast at the end of it. Get the workout of your life and then take a shower in our beautiful locker rooms. You can be in and out in just 45 minutes!!

    As one of the top personal trainers in New York City, and later running some of the country's most successful gyms, I witnessed clients spending tens of thousands of dollars as they strived to reach their fitness goals. However I also witnessed thousands of people turning down training because it was not affordable. They could easily afford 100 dollars a month, but not 100 dollars a session. I felt like it was my duty to fix this problem and to get more people training! To me, fitness is not about money; it’s about changing people's lives. In this program, my clients get the benefits of a personal trainer, including individual attention, exercise modification, and corrections, while getting the lower cost associated with group instruction.
    HHH (Half Hour Hell)
    Our HHH program is a half hour, high intensity, muscle shocking, “hell-like” experience that is guaranteed to give you results, fast. Typically, the calories burned in this class aren’t achieved in 3 hours of normal gym activity. Why spend 3 hours when it only takes you 1 hour a week? Clients from this class have lost over 100 pounds, and have been featured in “Men’s Health” magazine.
    The beauty of this class is that I have eliminated all excuses that you could make about not exercising:

    He incorporates creative training techniques like the TRX system and medicine ball drills, which have been much more effective than the standard weight routines I have done in the past. Ed also helped me work through a debilitating hip/knee injury that I have had for the past six years when other physical therapists and trainers said there was no solution. I started training with Ed with the primary goal of toning up and losing a few pounds, but four months later I delightfully realized I had dropped over 15 pounds and needed to buy new pants because my normal pants were falling off!

    Though his workouts aren't easy, he makes sure to push clients to their next level and makes it fun in the process. I would recommend his training to anyone interested in working hard and dramatically changing his/her body.

My very first class with Ed was his thanksgiving epoch special, a class so hard he said It was guaranteed to spike your metabolism through the holiday weekend. Needless to say I was gassed by the end of the warm-up and with 15 minutes left in class began to lose basic motor control. It was AMAZING. I'd love to say that the classes have gotten easier since then but that would be a lie.

    It might be more accurate to say I've gotten used to the pain. Ed's methods have brought me to tears on occasion but then again so have his results.If your motivated and willing to put in the work, Ed can get you the results you want.

    For many years I have suffered from numerous ailments that have caused unpleasant joint and bone issues. For many years I have suffered from numerous ailments that have caused unpleasant joint and bone issues. When I met Ed a few years ago I was an uncomfortable 270lbs. I was aware that Ed was an incredible Jiu Jitsu practitioner, but I did not realize how successful he was as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Ed realized my limitations and worked with me slowly. Through his amazing program, I have lost 65 lbs. while gaining unbelievable strength and stamina.

    Recently, I suffered a freak accident at my home and tore my meniscus in half. After surgery, my recuperation was difficult and I had a significant amount of blood drained from my knee twice. After speaking with Ed about this on-going problem, he developed a rehab program and worked with me to strengthen my knee. Amazingly, to both me and my doctor, the tear repaired itself and the bleeding and swelling stopped. I was scheduled to have a second surgery on Wednesday, June 12th, 2013, but was cancelled due to the amazing improvement. My doctor stated that in all his years of practice, he had never seen such a remarkable turnaround. In addition, my doctor cancelled that physical therapy that I was to receive after my second surgery and instructed me to continue with my current program. Thank you, Ed, for all of your support and encouragement and for keeping me as healthy as I can be. Most of all, Ed, thank you for your continual friendship and helping me to avoid surgery.

    Going into college, I thought I was in the best shape of my life. I weighed 210 lbs. and I could bench 285 lbs. and squat 315 lbs. That being said, I have always been an avid fan and participant in martial arts. I’ve practiced in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, Boxing, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Judo, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Even though I thought I was doing great for a guy my size, I noticed that my conditioning was starting to become a weak part of my physical fitness. One of my friends told me about Ed’s “Half hour of Power” program (now called Half Hour Hell) and I figured I would give it a shot.

    I went in thinking that it would be just another workout. But let me be the first to tell you, I was dead wrong. I was pushed to limits I didn’t know that I had in a workout style that I had never encountered. The next morning I woke up feeling more sore than I’d ever felt even after a two hour lifting session! But I knew I had to keep going back for more. Even though I was tired and sore, simply Ed’s presence gave me the motivation to keep going, even when I thought I had nothing left to give. Ed helped me set up a diet plan that would help me eat healthy and still be able to enjoy some of my favorite foods. The best part of the diet is that it was really easy to get used to and to follow. I have been training with Ed for a few years now and I am down to 167 lbs. and I can still bench and squat as much as I did when I was 40 lbs. heavier! My cardio vascular endurance is now one of my greatest strengths whenever it comes to my training and martial arts practice. My friends and family have both noticed how much better I look and feel now that I’ve been training my butt off with Ed. I cannot think of any words to truly express my appreciation and gratitude for Ed’s help with my training and diet program to help me get into the best shape of my life. So, I’ll simply say, Ed, thank you!
